Amadablam Base Camp
The trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp has been designed to take you to some of the prettiest Sherpa villages within easy walking distance of the Namche Bazaar Sherpa capital, with the ultimate objective of standing at the foot of the region’s most beautiful mountain. This trek is also part of Responsible Tourism with the specific intention of helping the villages of Thame, Khumjung and Pangboche, which very few trekkers pass through, to get some income through your participation on this trip.
Ama Dablam means ’mother’s necklace’ – the hanging glacier resembles a ‘dablam’ which is a piece of traditional jewellery worn by Sherpa women. You spend 10-nights in lovely lodges, owned by local Sherpa families. The lodges employ local staff, and consist of neat and clean rooms. If you are feeling well acclimatized to the altitude, you can even attempt to reach the staggering altitude of 5000m.
Day to Day Itinerary:
* Day 1. Arrival in Kathmandu. Trip briefing. Welcome dinner with culture dance.
* Day 2. Morning city tours for half day. After lunch afternoon free.
* Day 3. We fly to Lukla( 2,800m ) trek to Phakding ( 2,600m )
* Day 4. We trek to Namche
* Day 5. Acclimatisation day at Namche Bazaar. Explore the Namche village.
* Day 6. Trek to Thame
* Day 7. On and up to Khumjung ( 3,790 ) where we visit school built by Sir Edmund Hillary.
* Day 8. Trek to Pangboche past the famous Tengboche monastery. (3790m)
* Day 9. DAY EXCURSION TO AMA DABLAM BASE CAMP (4,576m) 6-7 hrs approx.
* Day10. Day excursion to Taboche Meadows (4380 m) and trek to Kyangjuma.
* Day11. Trek to Monjo
* Day12.Trek to Lukla
* Day13. Flight to Kathmandu
* Day14. Free day in Kathmandu
* Day15. International DepartureNote: This trip can be personalized as per your requirements that meet your time frame. The trip price will be according to Deluxe, Standard, Budget and group size so please kindly provide us your details for tailor made program. For your information Lukla flight is notorious for being delay problem of domestic flights to and from Kathmandu by few hours or canceled for a day or more rarely, it may happen even in top trekking season also as you know how climate changes effecting our world. So, please allow a couple of spare night/s in Kathmandu following your trek if possible
