Tibet Tours
This journey reveals the towering mountains and huge sweeping landscapes of the Tibetan Plateau. Enroute to Lhasa we visit Shigatse, the spiritual and cultural centre of Tibet. . Visit the former home of Dalai Lama, The Potala Palace, dominating the city atop its rocky pedestal. Then walk in the dark hallway of the holiest of holies, the Jokhang Temple, with the pilgrims who have come from afar to postrate themselves as its many shrines. Shop in the Barkhor, Tibet’s biggest bazaar and a sacred circummbulation route. Watch fisherman on the Kyi Chu river in their yak -skin coracles or visit the ancient Lukhang temple behind the Potala . Laden with souvenirs and memories fly back to Kathmandu, for some more exploring in this wonderful city before departure.
